In a unique display of solidarity, organizations representing a significant majority of the transportation fuels value chain in the United States have urged the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to deny recent petitions to move the point of obligation under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program.

NACS, along with others in the fuel marketing community, petroleum producers and renewable fuels producers, urged the EPA to reject recent petitions, stating that “[t]here is no sound public policy rationale for moving the point of obligation and further, such a change would add complexity and uncertainty to the current RFS program.” Read more…
