Murphy USA Also Joins More Than A Dozen Main Street Energy Retailers In Fight Against Moving The RFS Point Of Obligation

Washington, D.C., – Today, the Advanced Biofuels Association (ABFA) and Murphy USA joined the Main Street Energy Alliance (MSEA) to stand up for energy businesses and consumers across America.

“Shifting the point of obligation would create chaos for consumers and small businesses,” said Michael Steel, a spokesman for the MSEA. “ABFA and Murphy USA will be invaluable partners to help leaders in Washington understand the consequences of shifting the point of obligation for people on Main Streets across America.”

Representing more than 30 energy companies and trade associations, including many fuel retailers and marketers, the MSEA is urging the Administration to resist the calls of a few special interests to alter the point of obligation requirement under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS).
